In her civilian identity as Raven Darkholm, Deputy Director for the Defense Advanced Research Planning Agency, this shape-shifter is able to gain access to military secrets and weaponry. Once the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Mystique became the surrogate mother to the wayward young mutant who would eventually become the X-Man known as Rogue.
